Why a camp, not just a summer program

This isn’t pickup training between seasons. It’s ten focused weeks built to make your athlete measurably faster, stronger, and more durable before fall tryouts — programmed by clinicians and coaches who understand the difference between training hard and training smart.

Every session is built on the same science-based framework we use with college and professional athletes year-round. The difference in summer: uninterrupted time to actually apply it.

What makes this different

Coached, not supervised.

Our coaches don’t run the clock. They run the program. Every athlete gets real feedback on every rep, with progressions that match their age and development stage — not generic summer-workout templates.

Integrated with sports medicine.

When something flares up mid-summer, your athlete doesn’t lose two weeks sitting out. Our physical therapy team is in the same building, on the same staff. Small issues get handled before they become setbacks.

Built for summer-specific goals.

Returning to a sport this fall? Testing for a college program? Trying to stay ahead of the athletes who’ll be training against you? The programming is designed around where your athlete needs to be on August 13 — not where they are on day one.

Who this is for

Youth, middle school, high school, and college athletes who want to use the summer to separate themselves from their competition. We run groups across every age band:

  • Alpha Youth Performance — our youngest athletes (ages 8–10), foundational movement and coordination
  • Advance Middle School — the developmental years, where training age starts to matter
  • High School — football, volleyball, baseball, track & field, and general multi-sport performance
  • College — athletes home for the summer, preparing for fall camps or pro testing
  • Developmental Baseball — throwing progressions, arm care, mechanics for younger baseball athletes

Placement is decided by our coaches based on age, sport, and experience — not self-selection. It’s how we make sure every athlete is training with the right peers at the right intensity.

The programming

Every tier includes the same four pillars. What changes between tiers is frequency, 1-on-1 coaching time, and sport-specific layering.

  • Speed & Agility — Acceleration, top-end speed, deceleration, change of direction. The most trainable athletic quality at every age.
  • Strength & Power — Age-appropriate loading, periodized progressions, the difference between training for performance and training for the mirror.
  • Sport-Specific Skill — Programming layered onto the strength base for baseball / arm care, track / speed, and football / field sport conditioning. Athletes are grouped by sport for the skill block when enrollment supports it.
  • Movement Screen & Corrective Work — Every athlete starts with a comprehensive screen. Mobility restrictions and asymmetries get addressed inside the program, not ignored until they cause a problem.

How we coach

Every session is led by a Helix coach working inside a shared, program-wide methodology — not a one-off personality. Coaches vary by specialty (baseball / arm care, track / speed, football / field sports, general strength & conditioning), but the programming standard is the same across all of them:

  • Evidence-based progressions, age-appropriate loading
  • Individualized corrective work based on the movement screen from Day 1
  • Integrated with the Helix sports medicine clinic — if something flares up, the medical team is in the same building

Program design is overseen by Helix’s clinical director — a sports medicine physical therapist who has worked with athletes from middle school through the professional level, and who built the prehab philosophy that ties the medical side and performance side together.

The program is what you’re enrolling in. The coach assigned to your athlete is a guarantee of that standard, not the reason to enroll.

Class schedule

Every group runs Monday through Friday during the summer window. Specific classes operate on specific days within that window (e.g., some classes meet Mon/Wed, others Tue/Thu) — check the Helix app for exact days once you’re enrolled.

Placement into a group is based on age, sport, and experience. Our coaches assign the right track; families don’t self-select.

Morning Performance

  • High School Track & Field — 8:00–9:00 AM
  • College Performance — 9:00–10:00 AM

Youth & Middle School

  • Alpha Youth Performance — 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Advance Middle School Performance — 12:30 – 1:30 PM

High School Training

Baseball Development

  • Developmental Baseball Performance — 3:00–4:00 PM
  • High School Baseball Performance — 4:00–5:00 PM

Built for consistency. Train Monday through Friday, structured for progression, recovery, and performance.

Pricing & enrollment

The Summer Performance Camp is a bundled enrollment for the full June 1 – August 13 window. Pick the frequency that fits your athlete:

  • 1× per week — 11 sessions — $610
  • 2× per week — 22 sessions — $1,120
  • 3× per week — 33 sessions — $1,640

Sessions are valid through September 1 — extra cushion built in so families traveling for tournaments, summer trips, or work weeks don’t lose what they’ve paid for. Spots in each class are capped by coach-to-athlete ratio. We’d rather turn athletes away than over-crowd.

One-week pre-sale: 10% off, May 11 – May 17. That’s the only discount we run on the camp. Waitlist members get 48-hour first access starting Monday May 11 at 9 AM CT; public pre-sale opens Wednesday May 13 and runs through Sunday May 17. After May 17, regular pricing locks in.

Pre-sale pricing:

  • 1× per week: $610 $550 (save $60)
  • 2× per week: $1,120 $1,000 (save $120)
  • 3× per week: $1,640 $1,500 (save $140)

FAQ

What ages does the camp serve?

From Alpha Youth Performance (ages 8–10) all the way through college. Our coaches place your athlete into the group that matches their age, sport, and training experience.

Does the camp actually meet every day Monday through Friday?

The facility runs Monday through Friday. Individual groups don’t always meet every day — some classes are Mon/Wed, some are Tue/Thu, some run the full week depending on the coach and sport. Once you’re enrolled, the Helix app shows your athlete’s exact schedule.

How do you decide which group my athlete goes into?

Age, sport, and experience level. Our coaches do the placement. If you have input (e.g., your athlete is young for their grade but training age is high), flag it at enrollment and we’ll factor it in.

Is my athlete committed if they join the waitlist?

No. The waitlist is free and non-binding. You’re reserving early-bird access and first look at tier options. You decide whether to enroll once details drop.

What if my athlete gets injured during the camp?

Any Helix clinician on the medical side can evaluate and integrate rehab directly into the training program. No separate referral, no starting over. This is what makes the integrated model work.

Can we start mid-camp if the dates don’t line up with our schedule?

Yes — we’ll work with families on pro-rated enrollment once tier details are live. Flag this in the waitlist notes and we’ll loop you in first.

How do I reach a real person?

Call (512) 253-3707 or use the contact form. Anyone in the office can route you to the Performance Lab team.

Ten weeks. Spots are capped.
